KETTLES

MIX, HEAT OR COOL

Kettles can serve a variety of different purposes including to mix, cook, heat or cool product. They are  identified by having a hemispherical bottom. Galick Process and Packaging Solutions offers many different types and sizes of Sanitary Stainless Steel Kettles including Partial Jacket and Full Jacket with many different features such as agitation and tilt discharge.

Primary suppliers include, but are not limited to: Cleveland and Lee.

PARTIAL JACKET

Some types of Kettles have Full Steam Jackets and others have what is known as a 2/3 Jacket or Partial Jacket. Usually Kettles that tilt will have a Partial Jacket.  Partial Jacketed Kettles still thoroughly heat the Kettle's contents; however, the 1/3 of the Kettle that is not jacketed has a spout that allows the kettle’s contents to be poured out easily.

Partially Jacketed Kettles are a fast and efficient way to heat or cook your product and can include additional features such as high shear, single-motion, double-motion or triple-motion agitation, with or without tilt discharge.

Available in both electric and steam.

FULL JACKET

A Fully Jacketed Kettle features a solid shell over the Kettle. The fluid regulating temperature flows between the jacket and the kettle which will effectively heat product using direct steam. Fully Jacketed Kettles are typically limited to large stationary units that have spouts located near the bottom of the Kettle intended to drain the contents (although there are some tilting kettles that are fully jacketed).
